Hi there, just joined the community. I love frogs so it was only natural that one day I'd join an LJ community of fellow frog lovers.

I've caught many frogs in my childhood, which makes them so magical to me. They're just such fascinating creatures that i just can't help but awe over.

I reluctantly have my own pet frog now. It's a southern bell frog.

Just joined.

Ever since I was 4, I've been in love with frogs. I began catching them at 4 and that was really when my love for them began. I just thought they were amazing. I loved watching them jump, how they swam. I even loved toads, even though my friend said they gave you warts, and caught them. I'd still be catching frogs every day if it wasn't for the fact I now live in a place where there aren't many.

I decided to join to talk to my fellow frog lovers.

We went down to Florida recently on vacation. While there, my wife and I went totally insane catching these barking tree frogs. They are the kewlest things! Not only do they act like regular bullfrogs frogs (hopping all over the place, croaking, and such) but they also do an excellent Spiderman impression. Darn things can stick to just about anything (although they seem to like my wallpaper for some reason). If you have an opportunity to get a few, I definitely recommend it!

Some images of the buggers I nicked from a website here.
Server's down or I'd post my own.

Gotta love them froggies!!! We have them all over the place at our pond behind my house. Any size, you name it, and we have it. It's so peaceful to sit outside and night and listen to them. I want to catch them all but I can't. They are good enough tho where they are in the pond. Sometimes they are on our front porch and our carport. YEAH FROGS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a frog-lover for as far back as I can remember, but I really went nutz for the little green guys when I hit the 6th grade (about 1986). By then, I had three aquariums full of bull frogs (including one in my bedroom, of course!) I've probably raised more frogs than most, and yet I find there is always something new to learn about them. I've also learned over the years that there is apparently no shortage of frog-related nik-naks to be had. Currently, I have a 100 gallon aquarium set up in my living room. In it swim four young bull frogs, four leopard frogs and several fish.

Hello everyone. I've always loved frogs.. their amazing to watch and so cute. My grandmother had bought me two little aqua babies for my birthday about 3 or 4 years ago. They were such little cute frogs. The man had said they would never grow. Luckily, i still have them today. However, one is starting to scare me. This little frog looks as if it is full of air. This frog is also floating at the top of the water and i am extremely scared and i have no clue on what to do. If any one can help me i would highly appreciate it.

oMG! this is the cutest community!

I'm new here, but thought I would share my enthusiasm. A few months ago we bought our first frogs. They are tiny 'floater' frogs. Very cute and interesting to watch:)

This is the endangered Archey's frog of New Zealand. They are very hard to spot in the wild. You can learn more about NZ frogs here and a new method researchers have found to photograph them here. I'll post photos of my fake frogs soon.
